MEMORIAL DAY TRASH PICKUP NOTICE: Republic Services will not pick up trash on Monday, May 26, 2025 due to Memorial Day Holiday. They will run the trash pick up route on Tuesday, May 27, 2025.

As Hurricane Helene continues to impact communities, many families are in need of essential items to stay warm as cooler weather sets in. The Town of Allgood is organizing a Warm Clothes, Blanket and Camping Gear Drive to help those affected.

BEGINNING FRIDAY, OCTOBER 11, 2024
THIS DRIVE WILL STAY OPEN UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
We are accepting the following:
- NEW AND GENTLY USED BLANKETS
- NEW AND GENTLY USED COATS, JACKETS AND SWEATERS (ALL SIZES)
- HATS, GLOVES AND SCARVES
- WARM SOCKS
- TARPS (ALL SIZES)
- LITTLE BUDDY HEATERS
- 1 LB PROPANE BOTTLES
- 4 PERSON OR LARGER TENTS
- CAMP CHAIRS
- CAMP STOVES
We will be working with and delivering all donations to:
Crossroads Community Church
1190 Old Asheville Hwy
Newport, TN 37821
They will coordinate and distribute all donations to those in desperate need of help.
If you would like to do an Amazon, Kroger, Sam's Club or Wal-Mart drop directly to Crossroads Community Church please use the address provided above.
Every donation will go directly to helping families who have lost so much in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. Let's come together and show the strength of our community by providing warmth and comfort to those in need.
